The Wedding Belle

I worked for the Wedding Belle (Portsmouth, NH) from 2011 - 2015. One of my main responsibilities with the company was creating paper products for the weddings we designed. This included table numbers, escort cards, menus, ceremony programs, favor tags, and other signage. The following are examples from some of my favorite weddings. Each has it's own distinct personality born from the couple, the wedding theme, or the location.

For the first wedding, the couple wanted a "Great Gatsby" party for their big day. I created all of their paper products with a 1920's flair that included art deco patterns and period typefaces all in gold. Next to that are escort cards designed for an oceanside wedding with a Hawaiian theme. I used an ombre blue, watercolor background with a calligraphy style font that reminded me of the islands.

Next up is a colorful, rustic wedding that took place in a barn in Maine. Everything was done in cute, handwritten fonts in the colors red, blue and yellow. Instead of the traditional menu, we went with one that wrapped around the silverware setting. The escort card next to the menu was designed for a booklover's wedding. I made the cards to look like library borrower's cards, which involved using both a typewriter and stamp font.

The last photos are from an ocean and travel themed wedding, respectively. For the first, the couple used nautical flags as part of their decor so I incorporated this detail in a lot of their paper products as well. Here are some "Guest Libs" that were filled out at the end of the night. The last photo shows one of the couple's table names. All tables were named after destinations they've traveled to and designed to look like postcards from that place.
