Prasada Yoga Center

I've done several projects for Prasada Yoga Center (North Hampton, NH) promoting various classes, workshops, and retreats they have hosted. The first poster is for a new meditation class at the studio. They were looking for a clean and simple design to reflect the calming nature of the class. I chose a black and white color scheme with the focus being a photo I took of the instructor at sunrise.

The next is for their recent retreat at the Iguana Lodge and Spa in Costa Rica. My idea behind this design was a glimpse at paradise. I cut out pieces of a photograph of the beach near the lodge and combined that aesthetic with a hand drawn typeface for the heading, sub-headings, and tagline to give it a tropical feel. I didn't want to overwhelm people with a lot of photos of the lodge, only give the feeling that they would be traveling to paradise. The only other photo I included was one I took of the two instructors leading the retreat.

The last poster is for a special meditation class that, due to the instructor's schedule, had to be hosted on a different day and time. For this one we wanted to keep the design consistent with that of the previous poster for the class, but change it up a bit so people wouldn't gloss over it. Since the photograph was really the focal point of the print, I chose to use another photo from that shoot and crop it as a square instead of a circle. This kept the brand recognition we had established for the class, but allowed for customers to realize it was advertising something new.
